General Membership Meeting

with our galleries, events, and the association
By Artists, For Artists
Time to unveil some of your newest art pieces and get honest feedback by artists, for artists.
Wednesday Night Critique sessions are happening at the FSVAA Gallery
in the Solano Town Center Gallery.
All FSVAA members are invited to participate.
How it Works, Being a Presenter:
Interested in presenting?
At each session, each presenter may feature up to 4 pieces (finished or unfinished). The presenter will provide the back story of each piece: What prompted the work? What techniques were used to produce it? What is the artist hoping to convey to the viewer? Following the presentation, attendees are invited to provide constructive feedback – does the piece “work”? Is the vision clear? Is it well executed? All in the hopes of creating a positive experience for all parties. Attendees simply saying ‘I like it’ is not a particularly useful commentary.
Why do you like it? Or why do you not like it? What do you think could make it better?
How it Works, Being a Critic:
Everyone is a critic! All members – artists and friends – are welcome to participate as critics, providing constructive feedback to presenting artists! Are you interested in becoming a FSVAA artist member?
Sitting in on a critique is a great way to get to know the association.
Looking for feedback on work to enter into our upcoming
54th Annual Northern California Regional Juried Art Show? This is the place to do it!
The next meeting will be held: Saturday, September 28 @ 2 pm
