A new group show titled "Geometry" is on display at the FSVAA Gallery in Solano Town Center.
Showing now through July 10, Wednesdays through Sundays from 11:00am to 6:00pm, the show features over 40 local artists communicating their visions through use of shape, line, and geometrical forms in their chosen mediums in this convergence of art and math.
This diverse collection includes works of acrylics, watercolors, drawings, sculptures, mixed media pieces, photographs, and more. An accompanying open-themed group show by FSVAA members displays recent favorite pieces by the artists.
Purple, Saffron Yellow, Teal Green & Fuschia. These are some of the beautiful colors artist Ellen Christians associated with her new mini-solo show, "People of Color". Her newest expression, watercolor on canvas, exhibits all the rainbow of colors shown in her representation of peoples around the globe. India, China, North America are just a few. We are all very different, yet we are all much the same. Charcoal portrait drawings will also be exhibited, along with vibrant landscapes.
Artist Jennifer A. Lockette showcases a collection of her real and imagined landscape paintings in a featured mini-solo show within the exhibit.
The ArtDivas present mixed media collages in a collaborative display, as well as an interactive piece inviting viewers to create thier own structures and patterns.
An artists reception will be held Thursday, May 26, 6:00 - 8:00 pm, featuring appetizers and patrons can meet the artists and hear them speak about their work. This event is free and open to the public. Bring yourself and a friend!
